The summer of 2020, like the rest of the world, we stayed home to help quell the Covid pandemic. We walked a lot in the neighborhood. I took out my sewing machine for the first time in decades and had fun making Roman shades and doing some upholstery work. It was not an all-bad time. We learned to shop less often, to attend meetings on Zoom instead of commuting, and I tried my hand at sketching.
However, when summer 2021 rolled around, we were eager to return to Star Lake. Pam and James came too. We rented houses next to each other at the end of our favorite bay where we spent many happy times staying in Patsy's camp.
After Star Lake, we visited Arnold and Ismini in New Hampshire, Meg and Steve in Lexington, and the cemetery in Glens Falls.
