Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina are now behind us. Traffic was awful, as always on I-95, I-26, I-77, and I-81, with 26 and 81 vying for the record as the most full of trucks! Morning weather was delightfully cloudy and easy on the eyes. We had about an hour of moderate to light rain . . . and then it stopped just as we arrived. Very timely.

What traffic? |
We are in Lexington VA for a night with Meg and Steve. Can't wait for them to arrive with cheese and Guinness!

Our cabin at Lazy Acres in Lexington |
We rented a cabin on a horse farm. Stela got to run all she wanted in the field, where the horses aren't right now. She had a lot of pent up energy after a day and a half in the car. The farm dogs came calling but she was too much for them and they retreated to their yard.
The cabin is charming. Maybe this is a place to come again.
