| We all had Party shirts to surprise Pam |
It was much too hot for a Race, by Star Lake standards. Nevertheless, we gathered again for the Save Our Schoolhouse 5K Race and Pie Social. We were the Four Generation Team: Peg and Russ (Gen 1), Pam and James (Gen 2), Tanya and Erik, (Gen 3), Nathan, Hailey, Ryan, Anna, Mackenzie (Gen 4). And Kit - no gen but definitely one of us! Everyone finished . . . Yay . . . and we all got medals for finishing. Kit was 1st place and Peg 3rd in Women's 70 and up, Russ was 2nd in Men's 70 and up, Erik was 2nd in Men's 40 to 50, Hailey was 1st in Women's 12 and under, and Nathan was 1st in Men's 12 and under. What a team!
Kit bought us a pie at the Pie Social so we had Birthday Pie at Pam's party later. After a cool-down swim, Kit took the paddle board for a spin before the birthday celebration.
James, the younger, cooked dinner for everyone. Note the cool birthday tee-shirts.
